Privacy Policy
Last updated: 27 August 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how domainsnavigator.com (“we”, “us”, the “Site”) handles information when you use the Site. The Site is an interactive directory of country-code top-level domains (ccTLDs) with a domain name availability checker.
1. Information we process
- Server logs. Like virtually every website, our servers automatically record basic technical data: your IP address, browser type, requested pages, and the date and time of each request. We use this data to operate, secure and debug the Site, including rate-limiting of the availability checker.
- Domain names you check. When you use the availability checker, the name you type is sent to our server and forwarded to public domain registries (via the RDAP protocol) and to the public DNS system in order to determine availability. Results are cached on our server for a short period. We do not link checked names to your identity.
- Language preference. We use a session cookie to remember the language version of the Site you selected.
We do not ask for, and do not store, your name, e-mail address or any account data — the Site has no user accounts.
2. Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored in your browser. The Site uses:
- Essential cookies — a session cookie that keeps your selected language.
- Analytics cookies — see section 3.
- Advertising cookies — see section 4.
You can control and delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may affect how the Site works (e.g. the language selection).
3. Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the Site (pages viewed, approximate location, device type). Google Analytics uses cookies and similar identifiers. The data is processed by Google LLC on our behalf. You can opt out using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
4. Advertising (Google AdSense)
We may display advertisements served by Google AdSense.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this Site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. Alternatively, you can opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.
More information about how Google uses data from sites that use its services is available at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
5. Legal basis and retention
Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, we process the data described above on the basis of our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in operating, securing and improving the Site, and — for analytics and advertising cookies — on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Server logs are kept for a limited period needed for security and troubleshooting, then deleted or anonymised.
6. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access, rectify or erase your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in Poland: the President of the Personal Data Protection Office, UODO).
7. Contact
Questions about this Privacy Policy or your data can be sent to info@domainsnavigator.com.
8. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version, with its date, is always available on this page.
